Mandatory Sports in Schools

Sports and physical exercise has become a paradigm for people in modern times. They are what we watch, play, and sometimes create unity around. However, sports in schools is an issue that some feel necessary, but others find unimportant.

The book tells us that male middle school students who play sports find it easier to manage testosterone and males with particularly high testosterone should definitely seek out sports. Middle school is a time period where emotions run high and bodies are changing. I personally have seen how effective sports can be on a person's life, as I coach and also played in school. A male with high testosterone should find some way to manage this, and sports (preferably more than one) is a great way to do so.

Female middle school students who participate in sports are found to be more outgoing and insightful about healthy skills are treat their bodies better over time than perhaps students who do not participate in sports. Females, at the middle school age, grow at a greater rate than middle school boys, and although this is evident, sports can be an excellent way to manage their health and make sure they are developing healthy exercises for their lives.

Both males and females who participate in sports are less likely to take drugs or perform high risk behavior. This is another way that sports can be a healthy vantage and can be beneficial to the lives of middle schoolers.

Coaches

Another important aspect of having students participate in sports in the fact that they are subject to coaches. For those people who have had sports, how influential do you believe that your coach(es) in school were in your life?
